DOUGLAS HAIG CLIFFORD It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Haig Clifford on November 23, 2002. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife Molly; children, Gil (wife Teresa), Ken (wife Christine), Jo-Anne (husband Bryan), Bonnie (husband Frank), and Duncan; grandchildren, Kevin, Geoffrey, Kelly, Shawn, Mark, Leah, Graham, Kate, Gilbert, Carly and Kim. He is also survived by his brother Lawrence and sister Eileen. Doug was born in Ridgeville, MB on January 8, 1919, and spent his childhood there. He moved to Dauphin, MB at age 12. Doug was an officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. He then had a distinguished 36 year career at Air Canada. He was an avid curler and hunter. Doug took early retirement to pursue his gardening and many other interests on his rural property on the Assiniboine River. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the St. Francois Xavier First Responders and homecare providers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 28, at 10:00 a.m., at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception will follow. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
