JENNIE KUNZ (HAYEK)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJENNIE KUNZ (nee HAYEK) Peacefully on November 25, 2002 at her residence, Jennie Kunz, aged 80 years, of Camp Morton, MB, passed away with her family at her side. Jennie was predeceased by her husband John; and parents, Anthony and Kristina Hayek. She leaves surviving her children, son Melvin (Connie), daughter Diana (Eric Hanlan) and son Lloyd; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, George (Mary), Tony (Helen), Dolly (John Dobush), Stan, Robert (Yvonne) and Virginia (Leo Pineau). Jennie was born in St. Paul, MN on February 10, 1922. She moved to Berlo, MB at the age of five years and then moved to Camp Morton when she married John Kunz in 1942. She remained on their farm until the spring of 1999 when she moved to Gimli and resided at the New Harbour Lodge. She was an active member of the Gimli New Horizons where she served on the membership committee for many many years. She will be sadly missed. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, Gimli, with Sister Cathy Laviolette officiating. Interment to follow in the Gimli Community Cemetery. Her pallbearers will be Wayne Pineau, John Hanlan, Eric Jr. Hanlan, Chris Hanlan, Dean Kunz and Dustin Mohan. Donations in Jennies memory will be gratefully received by the Community Health Center, Fund Raising Initiative, Box 1710, Gimli, MB R0C 1B0. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
