Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKERRY KEMP LYONS 1927 - 2002 Peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2002, Kerry passed away in the presence of those who loved him. Kerry was born on March 7, 1927, and lived his entire life in Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Violet. Kerry will be deeply missed by his daughters, Laurel, Brenda, Valerie (Bob) and Cheryl; his sons, Craig and Kevin (Laura) as well as his grandchildren, Joshua, Rory, Sam, Rebekah, Brendan "Boomer" and Avery. Kerry was educated at the University of Manitoba in the area of interior design. He was an educator in a small one room school house in the late 1940s. He ran a construction business and later owned and operated his old business, Gold Crown, for over 50 years. Kerry was a spiritualist teacher and mentor to many friends in the spiritual community of Winnipeg. He had a wonderful wisdom and humbleness about him. Kerry always took the time to meet and share his vast experience for the benefit of others and we are grateful and blessed for his time on this earth. Grand beach held a special place in Kerrys heart. Many happy years were spent at the family cabin they owned for 30 years, watching their children involved in their various activities. Kerrys youngest son, Kevin, would wait patiently for hours in the big tree every Friday night to hear the roar of the Dodge Truck rounding the bend which meant "Daddy had arrived!" We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the St. Boniface and Misericordia Hospitals for taking care of Dad during his time there. A special thanks to the amazing staff of the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg where Dad spent his final weeks. A celebration of Kerrys life will take place on Monday, December 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Those wishing to make a donation may send flowers or if they choose, donate to the Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
