ERNEST FORTIN (ERNIE) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved dad, son, brother and uncle, on November 22, 2002 at the age of 41 years. Ernie was born on March 27, 1961 in the Eriksdale Hospital. He attended school in Lundar, graduated from the Lundar Collegiate. He was active in all sports and 4-H Clubs, winning many trophies. He stayed at home a few years helping on the farm. Ernie worked for the Department of Natural Resources in Lundar for nine years. He then pursued a boiler makers course, at which he worked at for six years. He loved hunting and fishing, spending many winters commercial fishing on Lake Manitoba. Ernie will be remembered for his easy going, happy-go-lucky personality and was loved by all. He will be dearly missed by his family, daughter Britta; friend Nicole; brother Carl (Lorry) nephews, Jason (Mary Kay) and Allan; niece Le-Anne; mother and dad, Alfred and Ingeborg; along with many other family members and many good friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30 at the Lundar Legion Hall, Lundar, MB, with Pastor Terry Throndson officiating. Interment to follow in the Lundar Municipal Cemetery. Friends and relatives may pay their respects one hour prior to the service at the Legion Hall. Pallbearers will be Neil Thorkelson, Wayne Irwin, Larry Johnson, Kim Laurans, Martin Bieri and Craig Beauchamp. Honorary pallbearers Roy Fortin, Blaine Fortin, Dude Chartrand, Jason Young, Benny Berthelet, Rick Clegg, Dennis Lapointe, Blair Burdette and Joe Ganton. In lieu of flowers, all donations will be put into a Registered Education Savings Plan for Britta, at the Ashern or Lundar CIBC Branches. Arrangements in care of Arnason Funeral Homes Ltd. Ashern - Lundar (204) 768-2072 Papa, Thank you for all the great times we spent together. I will always remember your big smile and our precious playful times we had when we were together. And for every time I shed a tear you were always there to gently wipe it away and store it in your pocket. That was your way of changing my tears into a smile. Continue to wipe my tears away from Heaven. Humphrey and I will miss you at bedtime when we used to lay together and tell stories. You are the best. Je taime Papa. X0X0X0. To my dear "Borg", an exceptional father and best friend. In your short but very full life you have managed to surround us with your love for life through your ever present smile and good humour. Thank you for your constant love and support throughout the years, but most of all thank you for sharing with me the most precious and blessed gift ever, our precious Britta. She will continue to move through life with all the love, guidance and lessons youve shared with her. We will store and always keep close to our hearts the precious memories you have left us. We will miss you. You are mourned deeply by the Frechette Family Nicole & Britta
