VALMAREECE "VAL" McDONALD After a lengthy illness, Val McDonald, age 66, passed away at the Riverview Health Centre on November 26, 2002. She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Verna Staples; and her sister Ada Staples. Val will be lovingly remembered by her husband Jim; daughter Cindy and her husband Barry Seddon; her precious grandchildren, Colin and Jesse; and her very good friends, Rita (Bob) White, Alberta Drummond and Viola King. Val enjoyed watching many sports on TV including curling and baseball. She enjoyed knitting and was especially fond of her dog Peaches. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg MB R3E 0V9 or to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation, 600 - 60 St. Clair Ave. East, Toronto ON M4T 1N5. Memorial service for Val will be held at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., on Friday, November 29 at 3:00 p.m. Interment and reception to follow.
