Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAULINE MARY POWER (nee BIRTWISTLE) July 19, 1927 - November 25, 2002 It is with great sadness, that the family of Pauline Power announces her passing after a brief illness at the age of 75. Pauline was born in Preston, England, July 19, 1927. She was the loving wife and soul mate of Ron Power for 53 years. They started their life journey together in England and immigrated to Canada in 1952. She was a loving and devoted mom to her five sons, as well as a loving nana to her grand-children in whom she took great pride. Pauline was loved and respected by all her many friends for her wonderful humour and caring good nature. She was a genuinely wonderful lady generously giving her time and effort to activities in support of the mentally handicapped (Winnserv Inc., D.A.S.C.H., S.P.I.K.E.) and with her friends at the 1745 Club and as a member of Prince Edward Legion No. 81. Pauline was predeceased by her parents, Mary and James; and sisters, Theresa and Elizabeth. She is survived and will be lovingly remembered by five sisters and brothers, Catherine, Mary, Margaret, Wilf and Edward in England and New Zealand. She will be sadly missed by husband Ron; sons, Steve (Bonny), John, Michael, Brian, Ron (Brenda) grandchildren, Colin, Laura, John (Heather), Melissa, Marshall, Sabrina and Karen; and great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jessica. Also may nieces and nephews and their children. Sleep peacefully Mom. We love you and you will be in our hearts always, till we see you in Heaven. Love you Mom. Our sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Welch and the staff at Concordia Hospital third floor for her care and comfort and for recognizing and encouraging Moms inner strength in her last days. Following cremation, a service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 29 at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Winnserv Inc., 101-960 Portage Ave. or Network South Enterprises, 326 Wardlaw Ave. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
