ELIZABETH YOUNG BABSON (nee McLACHLAN) It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Elizabeth (Betty) Babson, beloved wife of Eric, on Wednesday, November 27, 2002, at Concordia Hospital. Besides her loving husband of 59 years, she leaves to mourn her children, Anne, Jim (Bonnie), Doug (Carole) and Rick (Dea) grandchildren, Russ, Chris, Cara, Andrea, Courtney, Josie, Katy, Max and Zak; great-granddaughter Arielle; and many sisters, one brother and other relatives and friends. Betty was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and James; and several brothers and sisters. Betty was born December 22, 1923, and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. She met Eric in Paisley, Scotland, in 1942, falling in love. They soon married in June 1943. She came to Canada with her husband and daughter Anne from Scotland on May 1946. Betty will be missed for her unwavering love and support of her family. Her favourite pastimes were spending time at their cottage in Kenora, ON, and her beloved grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Masic and nurses Glenda, Heather and Linda at Concordia Hospital for all their care and support. According to Bettys wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, December 2 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Rev. Don McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
