EDMUND BROKOPP It is with great sorrow that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of our father, Opa and beloved husband of Frieda, on Wednesday, November 27, 2002. Together they enjoyed 47 special years and raised three children, Richard, Agnes and Erika. Edmund was born September 5, 1930, in Poland. He and his mother and sister came to Canada in 1953. He was a hard working, kind, loving and generous person who wouldnt hesitate to help anyone in need. His greatest pleasure was devoting his time to his family and friends. He also enjoyed travelling and being outdoors. He was a carpenter by trade and retired from the MLCC after 23 years. Left to mourn are his wife Frieda; son Richard (Debbie, Paul, Nicole, Danielle) daughter Agnes; daughter Erika (Michael, Destiny, Joshua and Melissa) of Calgary; sister Olga Barz (Hans) brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard and Adele Hackbart, Siegfried and Leona Hackbart, Rosalia Hackbart; special friends, Olga and Alfred Dobslaw; and numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Emma; and brother Erich. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 2 at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington St. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. J. Peachell and his team, SICU nurses Stephanie and Sandi, Dr. K.S. Jolly and Susan.
