Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD HUGH HUBBS June 17, 1917 - November 26, 2002 Our father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on November 26, 2002. Dad was born and educated in Indian Head, SK. As a young man he enjoyed competitive running. Dad joined the RCAF and served across Canada. He married Viola Otter in Gimli, MB in 1949. After retirement in 1967 he managed The Assiniboine Golf Club and Curling Rink. He also worked at Crescent Drive, and Windsor Park Golf Course. Dad was an active Mason and a tireless volunteer with the C.N.I.B. and Neighbourhood Watch. He was also involved in the development of the St. James Assiniboia Senior Centre. Throughout his life he enjoyed running, curling, bicycling, card games and golfing; highlighted by his "Hole In One" at Crescent Drive Golf Course. Dad was predeceased by our mother Viola, our sister Janice, his sister Gladys and brother Charlie. Dad, we will always be proud of your accomplishments in your life. We will remember your greatness, love and kindness. Your memory will live on within the hearts of Jack (Roseanne), Rick (Fran) grandchildren, Derrick, Dean, Shelley, Glen and Janice (Jeff) great-grandchildren, Zoe, A.J. and Taylor. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. James Assiniboia Seniors Centre (Portage and Duffield). Interment will take place on Fathers Day, 2003 at Garry Memorial Park. We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all our family and friends for their generous support and to Oakview Place for their sincere care and kindness they extended to our father.
