Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA ZURAWSKY (MONCHAK) On Thursday, Nov-ember 28, 2002, after a long period of declining health, at the Holy Family Nursing Home, in her 85th year of life, Anna Zurawsky passed away peacefully. Anna leaves to mourn her passing, her sons, Andrew (Irene) of Winnipeg and Myron (Alice Verbaas) of Toronto; grandchildren, Andrew (Jackie) and Lida (Shawn) great-granddaughter Elizabeth, all of Winnipeg; cousin Michael Makarevych of Sudbury; brother Roman Gula (Myroslava) nieces, Olha and Natalka; cousin Marijka Yepikhin, all of Lviv, Ukraine. Anna was predeceased by her parents, Pelahia and Ivan; her brother Fedir; and her husband Ostap. Anna was born in Lviv, Ukraine, on December 8, 1917. Having suffered the holocaust of the Second World War, which saw the occupation and devastation of her home in turn by German and Russian armies, and a number of years as a refugee in displaced persons camps in post-war Germany, she immigrated to Canada in 1951, with her husband and son, Andrew, and settled in Winnipeg. Her second son, Myron, was born in Winnipeg. A gentle and loving person, she was a dedicated wife and mother, and Baba to her grandchildren. Suffering from gradually declining health, she made her home in Holy Family Nursing Home in 1991, where she resided until her passing. She was loved by the staff there for her quiet and gentle nature. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all the staff of Holy Family Nursing Home, for their professional and personal concern for Anna over the years. Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 1, at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St., with Rev. W. Klimchuk officiating. A private family interment will take place on Monday, December 2. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Nursing Home VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
