KATHLEEN (KATIE) PERREAULT (nee MATTHISON) It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of a cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, aunty and friend on November 28, 2002. Mom passed away peacefully and left to be with her heavenly family. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Julia and Jack Matthison; her brother George Carufell; and her two sisters, Lillian Sigouin and Theresa Wellman. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine (Kitty), Jasysyn (Richard) and Evelyn Kosteck (Wally) grandchildren, Kim (Richard), Debbie (Chris), Heather (Brian), James (Evelyn) and Crystal (Darren) also great-grandchildren, Dillon, Brendan, Anna and Justin; numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was the last surviving member of her familys generation. Our Mom was born in 1920 and spent her early years in the Transcona area. She attended the Assumption Catholic School. In later years she was employed at Superlite Electric for 18 years, making friends along the way. Up until now she kept in touch with Mary Korol and Millie and Bill Salter. Another very close friend who kept in touch on a regular basis was Joe Decoster. He called Mom often and she looked forward to his calls. She would say "he made my day." Moms daily routine was going for her daily walks, playing her Kinsmen Bingo and playing cards with our family. She enjoyed her daily "soaps." Mom looked forward to going to Garden City for coffee, also to the lake for a nice weekend. She visited her hairdresser on a regular basis and Mom always looked so neat. Mom gave generously to many charities. Before her arthritis affected her legs she loved dancing; she also enjoyed country music. Mom seldom complained about anything and always looked forward to a better day. Mom belonged to Legion No. 1 for 20 years. Everyone had a place in her heart. She was just so special to each of us. At Moms request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Burial will take place at St. Boniface Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, so wishing may make donations to any charity of their choice. Mom To have a Mom and then to part Is the greatest trial to the human heart. Years of striving, little to play, Loving, grieving the whole of the way. With aching hearts we whisper low, God Bless you Mom, well miss you so. We Love You. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
