HAZEL MARGARET PATERSON Hazel Margaret Paterson passed away quietly early in the morning of November 27, 2002 at the Lady Minto Hospital, on Salt Spring Island, BC. Hazel had been in hospital since April of this year and though she tried with courage and good humour to get well and go to live at home again, it was not to be. Born in Winnipeg, MB on April 17, 1911, Hazel spent most of her working life with Eatons. When she and her husband Arthur Llewyn came out west, they settled on Salt Spring Island and worked together for Mouats Store in Ganges, BC for some years. Always a happy and cheerful person, with a kind and generous heart, Hazel will be sadly missed, especially her informative letters that she constantly wrote to her many friends and family. Hazel was predeceased by her beloved husband Art and is survived by nephews and nieces in both Canada and the United States. At Hazels request, there will be no service.
