Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHANIE SWENARCHUK (nee GOGOL) Suddenly and peacefully in her home, Stephanie Swenarchuk passed away on November 28, 2002. Mom was born in Winnipeg on December 10, 1925 and shortly thereafter moved to the family homestead in Middlechurch, MB. Her early years were spent helping market garden on the farm and going to school (oh, that four mile walk!). She had a special love of animals and loved to reminisce about the horses, cats, dogs that were a part of that life. She was always quick to point out the tough times, but qualified it with they were some of the happiest ones too. At the sudden passing of her father, Mom was forced to find work to help the family. She got a job at Eatons downtown and rode the bus daily from the farm. She continued to work there for 18 years and rose to the level of supervisor in the mail order department. My mother met my father during the war and were married shortly following its conclusion. They lived in various places and finally settled in the West Kildonan area for the past 51 years. She was a founding member of St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church and member of the Womens League for over 40 years. Mom was greatly loved by her family and friends. She will be remembered and missed by her son Dr. Greg and daughter-in-law Brenda. She will also be sadly missed by the apples of her eyes, grandson Stephen (Stevie) and granddaughter Kristin (Kristie). Nothing made her as proud as her family. Their accomplishments and love meant everything. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Harry; her parents, Joseph and Maria Gogol; and sister Tillie Lisowick. Pallbearers will be Len Lisowick, Jerry Swenarchuk, Victor Swenarchuk, Darryl Swenarchuk, Peter Iwanuck, Harold Skazyk. A special thank you is extended to Peter and Glikeria Iwanuck for all their help. Prayers will held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., on Wednesday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 5 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church located at 250 Jefferson Ave. in Winnipeg. A Redemptorist Father will officiate. Interment will follow at the Holy Family Cemetery. Goodbye my family, my life has passed. I loved you all to the very last. Weep not for me, but courage take. Love for each other, for my sake. For those you love dont go away, They walk beside you every day. Rest in peace, we love you forever. VICHNAYA PAMYAT! CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
