Jean and Simone then moved to Medicine Hat in 1989, where he worked with his son-in-law, Grant, until he and Simone returned to Winnipeg in 1993. He was last employed at the Centennial Public Library as a front desk security guard. Jean was a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1965. Jean enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid hunter and fisherman throughout his life.
