JEANNE McCALLUM (nee YOUNG) With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Jeanne McCallum on November 30, 2002. Jeanne was born in Winnipeg on September 1, 1915. She was predeceased by her husband Perry and her only sister Mavis Levins. She will be deeply missed by her children and their families. She is survived by her children, Brian (Jenny), Boyd (Diana), David (Janet), Terry (Laurie), Lorena Joan, Susan (Chuck), Patti, Tom (Linda), Sheila (John), and Bruce (Cheryl) as well as her much loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jeannes love of children was reflected in her many years as a schoolteacher, followed by volunteer work with children at St. Amant and Villa Rosa. She was a woman who lived by the principles of her deep faith. Jeanne was admired and loved for her great generosity to others. Special thanks go out to Sheila and John Smith and family for their love and care of Jeanne throughout her last years. We also wish to acknowledge the wonderful staff at Prairie View Lodge for their kindness and excellent care. We celebrate her life as one of giving and caring for those who were fortunate enough to know her or to be part of her family. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 5 at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prairie View Lodge, Box 269, Pilot Mound, MB R0G 1P0.
