JULIANA HELEN HILL On Saturday, November 30, 2002 at the Grace Hospital. Julia was born at the Winnipeg General Hospital on December 10, 1917 to Antony and Gudrun Natsuk. Fluent from childhood in Icelandic, her mothers heritage was always an important part of her life. Upon her graduation from high school, Julia obtained a diploma from Success Business College. She spent many happy years working in the wages office at Eatons. During the last years of the Second World War she volunteered at Deer Lodge Hospital. It was there she met her future husband, Leslie James Hill. After their marriage on September 29, 1948 they moved to Saskatchewan. The following year they returned to Winnipeg and settled in St. James. Julia loved her home and was able to reside there for over 50 years. Julias greatest joy in her life has been her family. She spent her life dedicated to the care of those she held most dear. Music, flowers, laughter and all the things beautiful will be in our memories of her. The cottage she owned in Gimli was also a great joy and she leaves many people there to remember her. Predeceased by her parents; husband; and brothers, Antony (her twin) and Edward, Julia leaves to survive her, with a long lifetime of wonderful memories her three children, Edward and wife Bonny of British Columbia, Margaret and husband Richard Dykes of Winnipeg and James and wife Gail of Dugald. Amma will be lovingly missed by grandchildren, Sherrie, Christine, Eric, Kari, Ian, David, Lauren; and great-granddaughter Kate. She is also survived by a nephew Bruce and niece Barbara. Her dearest friend Margaret Bundeen, of Victoria BC shares with us in remembering her. Our mother loved life and saw each day as a gift. Although we will miss her deeply, the gift of complete and enduring love she gave us will be our comfort. We were blessed. It was Julias request that no service be held. Interment will take place at a later date. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1858 Portage Avenue949-4872
