HERBERT JOHN BISHOP Herbert John Bishop, one day shy of his 93rd birthday, at West Park Manor Personal Care Home. Devoted husband and companion for 68 years of the late Helen Bishop (February 2002). Loving father of Dennis (Carolyn) and Diane (Hugh) Tyson. Grandfather of Kim (Rusty) Bamford, Cathy (Ken) Armstrong, Cheryl Bishop, Oliver Tyson (Lisa Nelson) and Emily Tyson. Great-grandfather of Campbell, Courtney and Kaelyn Bamford and of Isabella Armstrong. Longtime member of the Winnipeg Grain Exchange. Member and officer of the Boys Brigade, amateur gymnast, basketball player and sports enthusiast. Over 60 years a Mason with St. Johns Lodge, No. 4. Over 50 years a Shriner and past president of Khartum Temple Drum and Bugle Corps. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapel, 669 Broadway. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapel, 669 Broadway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 500-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8 or to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, in care of Khartum Temple, 1155 Wilkes, Winnipeg, MB R3P 1B9.
