Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN (KATHY) BURWASH It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Kathleen Burwash after a brief illness at St. Boniface Hospital on December 1, 2002. Kathleen will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 38 years Ken and her daughter Karen. Predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Catherine Lynch, she will also be lovingly missed by her brother Owen Lynch; her sister Patricia Cook and her husband Michael; her brother-in-law Raymond Burwash and his wife Margaret; her many nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends. Kathleen was born on September 17, 1934 in Winnipeg where she grew up. In 1964, she married Ken and shortly thereafter their daughter Karen was born. Kathleen worked for over 25 years at Great West Life. Following her retirement, she devoted herself to volunteer work at the Victoria General Hospital Oncology Department, St. Bernadette Parish and at St. Raphael Centre. Kathleens faith and her family were her life. The list of those she kept in her prayers was long. She touched everyones life who knew her in a special way. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and doctors of A5 West, especially nurses Julie-Ann, Pat, Fiona and David, and Doctors Lipson, Manuel, Lai and You, for their compassion and care of Kathleen as well as to the staff of the MICU especially nurses Jocelyn and Sheila. The family would also like to thank the Pastoral Care staff at St. Boniface especially Rosalind and Timothy who helped us through this difficult time. A special thank you is also extended to Eileen B. and Eileen Ward and the staff at St. Bernadette Parish for their love and support. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd., on Thursday, December 5 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Fred Olds presiding. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathleens memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to St. Raphael Centre, 23 Conifer Cres., Winnipeg, MB, R2J 1V4.
