PETER JAMES Peacefully on December 1, 2002 at his home, Peter James passed away at the age of 59 years, surrounded by his family. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rowlayna; daughter Britt; sons, Sean of New York and Derek and Beau of Austin, TX; two sisters, Diane (Hannu) Maki and Debbie James; and mother-in-law Pat Griffiths. He will also be sorely missed by his nieces and nephews and special friend Billie Luke. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Norma and Vincent James; brother Paul; and father-in-law Al Griffiths. Peter was born in Brandon, MB on September 9, 1943 and moved to Winnipeg with his family in 1958, attending Silver Heights Collegiate during his high school years. He spent the past 19 years employed with Finn Woodworks, where he developed many close friendships. Peter loved spending time at the lake, hunting, watching car racing, hockey and baseball games, and his newly added interest...the game show channel, taking long walks and spending time with his Burmese cat Pachabel. "Wheres my beer?" Funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 5 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre.
