Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH MARCUS HENRY January 7, 1917 - December 3, 2002 On Tuesday, December 3, 2002, Ken passed away peacefully at the Deer Lodge Centre. He is survived by his daughter Patti Jones (Lloyd) son George (Thelma), seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his dear wife Winnie on January 19, 1986; parents, George and Margaret; step-father Andy; brother Vic; sister Elaine; grandson Billy and great-grandson Brandon. Dad served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War and on his return home he began his career with the Winnipeg Fire Department. He became a Captain in 1974 and retired in 1982 after 35 and a half years of service. He was brought up on the hard times. Dad always worked hard and was an excellent provider for his family. He was a strong, supporting member of the Royal Canadian Legion and received his 55 year pin in the year 2000 from Winnipeg Branch No. 1. A celebration of Dads life will be held on Wednesday, December 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the Royal Canadian Legion, Winnipeg Branch No. 1, 626 Sargent Ave. Our family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Deer Lodge Centre (2 South) for their excellent care in looking after Dad for the past two years. We know it was a hard job at times, but you did it well. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kens memory to the Fire Fighters Burn Fund, 303 - 83 Berry St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4J9. "Dear Dad, the battle is over. Rest in peace". As Dad would say, "I did it my way". Love Patti WOJCIKS ALL BELIEFS & FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
