MARCEL PAUL REY Peacefully, with family and friends by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer, Marcel passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on Monday, December 2, 2002. Marcel is survived by his common-law wife Audrey Hillman; his daughters, Danielle and Jolie; and granddaughter Breeanna; Audreys sons, Craig and Kelly; and Audreys grand-children, Dustin, Julian, Sierra and Daryan; his brothers and sisters, Germaine, Emile, Lucienne, Therese (Roland), Suzanne, Alice (Sid), and Claude (Henriette) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Paul, Cecile and Angeline. Marcel was born in St. Claude, MB on August 1, 1939. He lived there for most of his life, moving to Winnipeg in just the last few years. His passion for carpentry was very obvious in the many homes he built in the St. Claude and surrounding areas. Now, his weary hands may rest. Marcel also enjoyed hunting and skiing with his friends. The family expresses its sincere thanks to Dr. Marianne Krahn, Dr. Chowdhury and Heather, the nurses on 6A and the Palliative Care ward. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. in St. Boniface, on Friday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. Fr. Ron Leger will officiate.
