LYLE CHASE It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our brother, and uncle, Lyle Chase, on December 6, 2002, at Concordia Hospital, after a short illness. Lyle is lovingly remembered by sisters, Phyllis Jensen (Harry), Edna Chase and Isabel Calsbeck (Dick) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Doreen, Fay, and Carolyn. Lyle was born August 15, 1923 in Winnipeg and spent his younger years in Ashern, MB. In 1973 he moved to Winnipeg to live with Isabel and her family. He began working at Paddons Florist and truly enjoyed his years there, especially being "Santa" at the annual Poinsettia Festival. In his retirement, Lyle was truly content at home with a stack of scratch tickets, a hearty snack, and a favourite movie. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. Interment will be in Ashern Municipal Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, if friends so desire, donations in Lyles memory may be made to a charity of their choice.
