DALE RICHARD BARNECKI 1953 - 2002 It is with profound sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Dale in Winnipeg, MB. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Thomas Clinton of Saskatoon, SK and Richard Dale of Winnipeg, Dales mother Phyllis Cassidy; sisters, Blythe (Don) Pester, Donna Hlady of Winnipeg; aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was predeceased by his brother Tom and father Richard (Dick). Born in Winnipeg and raised in Morse Place, he attended schools in East Kildonan where he excelled in all capacities. The summers were spent at the family cabin at Falcon Lake. In his youth he enrolled in Navy Cadets, was CPO and had the great fortune of being a guest at a banquet and hockey game with Primer Minister Lester B. Pearson. He was an avid golfer at Rossmere Country Club and Falcon Lake Golf Course. Dale was a member of Mensa, his vast knowledge and ability to learn and teach others will be sorely missed. He played the drums and loved all music. He could name the artist and sing the lyrics of any song. In his early working career he was with Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting, Duffys Cab, and a switchman with C.N.R. Dale found the greatest joy while being associated with Dominos Pizza. His uncanny ability to foresee new opportunities and challenges for Dominos was a gift. Special thanks to all the executives, managers, and employees of Dominos Pizza whom Dale considered his friends. We celebrate his life as one of giving and caring for those fortunate enough to know him. His story telling, sense of humour and wit shall always be remembered. His ability to give of himself to help others will be greatly missed. The family would like to sincerely express their heartfelt thanks to all Dales numerous friends for their generous support and kindness they have extended. Special thanks to Mike Schlater and Craig Young. A memorial service will be held at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, No. 1 Highway and Navin Road (204) 222-3241 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7.
