ELFRIEDE MOEHLER (nee MATTHEWS) After a lengthy illness on Monday, December 2, 2002, Elfriede Moehler passed away at Charleswood Care Centre at age 81. Elfriede is survived by her daughters, Christa Varkerti and Margaret Siemens, their husbands, Attila and Grant and daughter-in-law Gloria. Oma also leaves behind her four beloved grandchildren, Richard, Angela, Garry, Kyle and her precious great-grandchildren, Megan, Shawn and Zachary. She was predeceased by her husband Hans; and her son Joachim. Mama (Oma) will always be remembered as someone who put her family first. You cannot think about her without the words "love and sacrifice". She had a cute smile and made the best Black Forest Cake ever. We think of her sitting on her swing by her large garden and beautiful flowers. We all wore the clothes that she knitted with great skill. Oma always looked forward to seeing and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is an inspiration to us all and will truly be missed. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Charleswood Care Centre. A private family service will be held at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Thank You Mama, Love You!
