JAKOB GLIHA Suddenly, at his residence, Jack Gliha, aged 60 years passed away on December 4, 2002. Jack leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 41 years, Emily; children, Emily Anderson (Leno Policarpio), grandchildren, Danny, Mike, Jennifer and Matthew; Sylvia Kambas (Paul), granddaughter Patty; Jack Gliha (Rhonda), grandson Matt. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, all of Slovenia. Jack was born January 29, 1942 in Slovenia, moving to Canada in 1969. He was employed for 30 years at Northstar Fairmont until his retirement this year. He loved to play lawn bowling at the Slovenian picnic, and at the park in his neighbourhood. He enjoyed walking and biking and going on Tuesdays to Joeys for all the fish he could eat. He also loved going to Gimli and Lockport on Sunday afternoon for coffee. Devotional will be held at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane at 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 9, followed by visitation. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 10 at Green Acres Funeral Chapel with Pastor Alan Brooks presiding. Interment in Green Acres Memorial Gardens, with reception to follow in the Heritage Room.
