CECIL WILLIAM PAGARD It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Cecil Pagard on December 3, 2002. Cecil will be missed by his sisters, Alva Pagard and Erma Branson; his brother Elmer (Rose) Pagard; sister-in-law Ruth Pagard; nieces, Diane (Terry) King, Gail (Karl) Emms, Ferne (Chuck) Pagard; great nieces and nephews, Kim, Greg (Pepper) and Ayanna, Kelvin and Gillian. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Helga; brothers, Birtle, Ken, Archie and brother-in-law Lee. Cecil was born on January 2, 1921 in Homewood, MB. He worked in the bush camps in British Columbia, Ontario and Saskatchewan before he began farming together with his brother Elmer in 1946 in Narcisse. In 1960 he purchased his own farm in the Narcisse area where he farmed until his retirement. Cecil was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed many activities including hunting, trapping, gardening and walking which he enjoyed until passing. In his youth he played baseball. Cecil was well liked by those who knew him. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association or a charity of ones choice. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7 at 2:30 p.m. at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Inwood. Honorary Pallbearers will be Numi Benjaminson, Eskel Brurok, Karl Emms, Kelvin Emms, Chuck Gordon, Walter Wright. A private interment will be at a later date. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
