ADELINE ELVIN (KILBACH)
Born: Oct 15, 1917
Date of Passing: Dec 05, 2002
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADELINE ELVIN (nee KILBACH) October 15, 1917 - December 5, 2002 Adeline was born and raised in Saskatchewan. She lived a simple life, and felt that her treasures were found in her family and friends. Her greatest joy was watching her granddaughters grow into beautiful young women. Adeline was predeceased by her husband Ernie; and is survived by her daughter JoAnn (Garry) Kakoske; three granddaughters, Tracey (Glenn) Llewellyn, Trina (Terry) Pratt; and her two great-grandsons, Tristen and Evan. Adeline was a terrific cook, kept a spotless home, and was an admirable gardener. She was a loyal friend and a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest attribute was that she always had time for others, and loved to share her bounty with others. She was respected by everyone who knew her. Adeline was diagnosed with Alzheimers and had been residing in Betel Home since October 1995. The staff loved her like one of the family and until the last week of her life she remained content and comfortable. Her last week Adeline was "running the race of her life". She completed her marathon and joined her husband Ernie on December 5, 2002. Even though Adeline has not been "herself" for several years, her spirit somehow shone through. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 9 at 11:00 a.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. with Pastor David Saude officiating. Interment will follow in St. Vital Cemetery. If you could look into the eyes of generations yet to come, you would be there, because immortality lies not in the things you leave behind, but in the people your life has touched. You have touched our hearts and leave us with only fond memories. All our love goes with you. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ACL Selkirk, 306 Jemima St., Selkirk, MB R1A 1X1. P.
