Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM JOHN CLAUDE McLAUCHLAN On December 3, 2002 at the Health Sciences Centre, Claude passed peacefully into eternal rest. Claude was born in McCreary, MB on January 22, 1931 and was raised there until he left for the navy at the age of 17 years. When he came back from Korea, Claude resided and worked in Winnipeg until he married and settled in Broad Valley with his wife to raise their family. He is predeceased by his father (1982) his mother (1991) as well as his sisters, Audrey (1993) and Marietta (1995). He was also predeceased by his two children, Richard (1987) and Kathy (1993). Claude leaves behind to mourn his loving wife May of 35 years; two remaining sons, Joe and Robert of Winnipeg; brother Ken (Marina) of Winnipeg. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who love and miss him greatly. Claude was a very quiet and cheerful man, always ready with a friendly smile, kind word and a forever jovial spirit. He had a quiet confidence about him that was unmistakable to all who knew him and even those who he encountered only briefly. He was an indomitable spirit who never complained and always gave more than was asked of him. Claude was a very ingenious and hard working man who despite his disability accomplished everything he set his mind to. He was a loving husband and father, a very brave man and leaves a presence that will never be forgotten. The family wishes to thank all the staff at the Health Sciences Centre and the dialysis unit, Deer Lodge Centre and transplant clinic for all theyve done. With a special thanks to Dr. Bellan and Bernice for all theyve done. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 9 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment Brookside Cemetery.
