Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryChange in Time of Service EDWARD VICTOR YAREMCHUK Edward Yaremchuk passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2002 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 73 years. He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Patricia (David) Dyck of Vernon, BC, Christine (Armand) Faucher; two grand-children, Danielle and Andrew Faucher of Winnipeg; one sister Helen Ness; sister-in-law Mary (Ernest) Sarnecki; several nieces and nephews, relatives and good friends. Edward was predeceased by his wife Stella in 2000; sister Frances Mackonka; and parents, Mary and Andrew Yaremchuk. Edward was born on November 18, 1929 in Winnipeg. He worked various jobs at the CNR from 1944 to 1984 when he retired from the Transcona Reclaim Department. Edward was an avid stamp collector and was a member of various stamp clubs and volunteered at many schools for their stamp programs. He loved playing cards and actively participated in card nights at the Carriage House, his most recent residence. He loved spending time with his precious grandchildren, travelling and weekly trips to the casino. Special thanks to the staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital, Level 3, Unit 4 and his attentive physicians, Dr. D. Wiseman, Dr. Czarnecki and Dr. Lei, and family and friends for their loving support. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, December 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edwards memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Manitoba Division, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
