ROSE MARTIN On Friday, November 29, 2002 Rose passed away peacefully at the Lions Centre with her family around her. She is survived by her daughters, Marie, Lizzie (Rod), Gloria (Don), Sylvia (Dick) and Theresa. Her sons, Peter (Margaret), Joe (Mary) and John. She was predeceased by her husband Peter; her youngest son Danny and son-in-law, Ken. Rose has 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Rose was born in Romania on February 17, 1909. She came to Canada as a young woman in 1929, where she met her husband Peter. She played a very important part in our lives by the examples she lived by. Her great, subtle sense of humour, her love of classical and operatic music left us all a legacy of appreciation. She was a kind, caring, selfless, very special person. She always considered others and their feelings. She was a great "Lady" in every way. She was "Our Mother." 23rd Psalm The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His names sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. "Go With God Mom" The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Lions Centre and especially to Marlon and Pam for the special care and compassion given to Mom during her stay. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roses memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Manitoba Division, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3G 1S6. would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 10 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Stafford and Corydon. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens with a reception at Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
