PAUL RYZOWSKI 1915 - 2002 Unable to overcome the ravages of a recent brain hemorrhage, our Dad left us on Friday, December 6, 2002 with his daughter Pat and granddaughter Melissa at his side. Dad will be always loved and remembered by his children, Pat McTaggart and husband George, Dick and wife Bernice, Bill and wife Barb, Gloria Lethbridge and Susan Rogers and husband Gerry. Dads grandchildren, Paul Phillips and wife Lisa, Melissa Deneka and husband Rob, Travis Lethbridge, Keith Ryzowski, and Jodie and Ed Ryzowski all have special memories. Dads great-grandchildren, Alex and Connor Deneka (who lovingly referred to Dad as "GeeGee with no teeth") and Austin and Zoey Phillips held special places in Dads heart. Dads sister, Sue Roman and husband Jack will also miss him. Our mother Pat, parents, Peter and Mary; and sister Anne Anaka predeceased Dad. Dad worked in many varied professions. He was a printer, a prototype draftsman, a boat builder as well as head of maintenance for Mystery Lake School Division in Thompson, MB until his retirement. Dad loved to do Jumbles and mystery word puzzles (as long there was a solution!) and played Kinsmen Bingo and Lotto 649 faithfully. He always hoped hed "hit the big one" so he could hand out vast amounts of money to us, his kids, just to watch us enjoy it. Dad enjoyed his independent living at St. James Kiwanis Courts and enjoyed all of his friends and activities there. Dad was a quiet man but loved to socialize with his Monday group of friends at Oakview Place. He looked forward to seeing them every week and appreciated the friendship extended to him by the group members as well as the staff. At Dads request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Wednesday, December 11 at 12:30 p.m. Interment of his remains will follow immediately after the service. Flowers will be graciously accepted or, donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Road, Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3 would be appreciated. Special thanks to the First Responders and Unit 23 of the Winnipeg Ambulance Service for their kind and respectful treatment of our Dad. Our thanks also to the Grace Hospital 5th floor nursing staff, especially Clarisa, whose compassionate care of our Dad made his last hours as comfortable as possible. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
