Offer Condolences or MemoryMYRLYN ANNE MAUD (nee TRAVERSE) "SUE" October 17, 1964 - December 6, 2002 Peacefully at the Dauphin General Hospital, Myrlyn Anne Maud (nee Traverse), aged 38 years old, of Rockridge, MB, passed away on December 6, 2002, with family and friends by her side. Myrlyn leaves to mourn her beloved husband Roger of 21 years; their sons, Marshal (Christine), Adam (fiancee Germain), Travis and Tristan; grandsons, Timothy and Garret; father Jacob Traverse; stepmother Christine Traverse; brother Carl Traverse; special brother Dwayne Traverse; sister Melanie Traverse; stepbrothers, Jason and Syles Gabriel; special aunts, Merlene (Delmer) Cameron of Peguis, Evangeline Traverse, Bertha Sumner, Edith Gagen, Ida McLean and Harriet Anderson, both of Fairford; uncles, Mark Traverse of Lake St. Martin, Ernie (Sheena) Hornbrook and Edwin (Violet) Amos of Jackhead. In her passing, she also leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law, Vivian Ross of Lake St. Martin and Audrey (Gilbert Arrow) of Easterville; brothers-in-law, Glen (Melva) Maud of Skownan and Jaimie (Trena) Maud of Portage la Prairie; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, too numerous to mention. Myrlyn was predeceased by her mother Alvina Traverse; her grandparents, Elizabeth and Alfred Amos, Victor and Emma Traverse; sister Melvina Mae Traverse; three brothers in infancy; uncles, David, Harry and Alec Traverse; aunt Elizabeth Beardy; also her in-laws, Gilbert and Bernice Maud. Myrlyn loved serving the Lord. They made a tape together with her husband and family. Her favourite song was "How Wonderful His Name." She travelled a lot with her family, near and as far as North West Territories. Myrlyn started teaching the word of God, encouraging people to go on for the Lord. She ministered to the hurting. She always put God first. Myrlyn loved her grandsons, they were so special to her. She was looking forward to the birth of her next grandchild, who is due in February 2003. Myrlyn worked for C.F.S. at Skownan as a foster parent. The family would like to thank Dr. Penrose and staff at the Dauphin General Hospital, and all those who came during her short stay at the hospital and to the wake and funeral services. Wake service will be held on Tuesday, December 10 at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 11 at 12:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Lake St. Martin Pentecostal Church with Pastor Gilbert Catcheway and Jim Anderson officiating.
