Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDERICK RODERICK ROSS (ROD) SANDERSON May 11, 1914 - December 8, 2002 Peacefully on December 8, 2002, Frederick Roderick Ross (Rod) Sanderson of Kinisota, MB went home to be with the Lord, at the age of 88 years. Rod leaves to mourn his daughter Muriel (Herman) Thwaires; sons, Lyle Sanderson and Doug Sanderson; foster son Carey Hafner; also many other foster children; brothers and sisters, Beatrice Ross, Belle Hourie, Charlie Sanderson, Matilda (Bob) Rodericks and Russell (Mable) Sanderson; brother-in-law Murry McKinnon; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends. Rod was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Louisa Sanderson; his wife Doreen; son Hugh; brothers, Oliver, Bill, Harry and Dave; sisters, Lucy and Harriet; in-laws, Bob Ross, Charlie Hourie and Doris Sanderson. Rod lived most of his life at Reedy Creek. He served his country in the Second World War. He loved fishing, trapping and hunting. Rod was a born again Christian who loved the Lord and served Him at his local church and community. He will always be loved and remembered. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or the Lakeview Chapel, Kinisota, MB. Prayer service will be held on Wednesday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 12 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Lakeview Chapel, Kinisota with Rev.
