Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAGNUS JAMES MOUSSEAU With deep sadness the family wishes to announce the passing of our husband, dad and grandfather, Magnus Mousseau, aged 78 years, of Sandy Bay, on Sunday, December 8, 2002 at the Portage General Hospital. Dad was born to Alexander and Philomene on February 20, 1924. Dad went to school in Sandy Bay. He married Adeline Beaulieu on November 5, 1945 and together they raised 14 children. His children were very important to him and he travelled all over watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports. Dad was an avid sportsman as well. He played baseball and hockey in his younger life. To support his family he farmed, hunted and fished. When he retired at age 65 he continued to help his son with the farm. He enjoyed farming. Later, he travelled with the elders from Sandy Bay. He was a believer in pursuing and educating. He was predeceased by his grandson Justin Travis in 1980; and on December 8, 1984 he was saddened by the sudden passing of his son-in-law George McLean and two grandchildren, Daryl and Angela Mousseau. He was also predeceased by his son Magnus Jr. on September 2, 1988 and his granddaughter Dana Marie Beaulieu in 2001. Dad suffered a stroke in September 2000 and never regained his ability to walk. From this time he was bedridden and we watched him slowly slipping away. Dad is happy now, he must be with his parents and his brothers and sisters. Our brother Magnus Jr. and Angela and Daryl must be welcoming our Dad, because now he will be with them. Dad finished his work here and now he will live in Gods home. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife, Adeline, of 57 years; his 13 children, Stanley, Myrtle, Beverly (Harvey Paul), Clifford, Roy, Robert (Joanne), Hector (Alma), Melva (Mervin Spence), Anita (Trent Elke), Delina (Howard Beaulieu), Roland (Annette), Donnie, Francine (Terrence Paul), 66 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; as well as father-in-law Noah Beaulieu. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 12 at 12:00 p.m. in Our Lady of The Angels Catholic Church, Amaranth. Interment will follow in the Sandy Bay Cemetery. Clarkes Funeral Home, Gladstone in care of arrangements.
