Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY REIMER (nee FRIESEN) After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Mary peacefully passed away on December 8, 2002. Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 62 years Jake, two sons and one daughter, Peter (Nina), Helen (Rudy) and Ernie (Diana) seven grandchildren, Kimberley (Stuart), Ken (Jeanette), Peter (Lauralee), Pamela (Leonard), Rod (Diane), Chris (Destiny) and Carla; also seven great-grandchildren, Lisa, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Ashtyn, Ian, Abby and Janelle; one brother John (Elsie) one sister-in-law Annie (Aaron) and one brother-in-law Paul. Mom was predeceased by her youngest son John Robert (Jackie) in November 1972, both parents Benhard and Helena Friesen and one brother Henry Friesen. Mom was born in Felsenbach, Southern Russia on June 29, 1919. Together with her parents and twin brothers, Henry and John, they immigrated to Canada in 1926 settling in McAuley, MB where she received her education. Mom met Dad in McAuley and they were married October 10, 1940. 2 Timothy 4: 7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." REST IN PEACE MOM Special thanks to Dr. Jeff Wiebe and Pastor Jim Zurbriggen for their constant care and compassion. The family wishes to thank all those who have shown their love by stopping by to visit, offering your prayers, your words of encouragement, the thoughtful cards, delicious meals, beautiful flowers and coming to sing. May God bless each of you in a very special way. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakbank Baptist Church, Oakbank, MB with Pastor Jim Zurbriggen officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations in memory of Mary may be made to Meadowood Manor Building Fund, 577 St. Annes Rd. Winnipeg, MB R2M 5B2.
