Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL JOHN GOWRYLUK The Gowryluk family announces the peaceful passing of their beloved husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa on December 10, 2002 at the Notre Dame Foyer at the age of 93 years. Left to cherish his memory is Michaels wife, Stella; sons, Ronald (Lynda), Gregory (Sharon), and Garry (Ruth) grandchildren, Melinda, Debbie, Dawn, Becky, Todd, Bethany, David, Andrew, Matthew, Jordan and Tara; great-grandchildren, Gerald, Ashley, Eric and Naomi; a brother Jake; sisters, Kay Czyrak, Elizabeth Kuly and Lillian Russell; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Kathleen in 1973 and brothers, Steven in 1984, Bill in 1996 and George in 2001. Mike was born in Gonor, MB in 1909 son of John and Anna Gowryluk. In 1935 two important events took place in Mikes life, first he married Kathleen Bialek and then went on to start their own farming operation. Growing potatoes was a special interest of Mikes and he became very involved in the Vegetable Growers Association of Manitoba. He was on the first board of directors and was president in 1960 and 1961. He also built and sold many homes in the Selkirk area and ran a sawmill in Birds Hill, MB. Michael was also very involved with the Winnipeg Bible Students and was an elder in the class. Rev. 2:10 Be thou faithful until death and I will give thee a crown of life. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14 at 10:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Frank Boychuk officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashfield Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
