Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREUBEN SELWYN WARNER December 1, 1942 - December 8, 2002 Peacefully on December 8, 2002, Reuben Selwyn Warner, beloved husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Reuben has left an awesome legacy to live on through his family. Reubens memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife and best friend of 32 years, Phyllis; their daughter Tricia (Paul), Heather (James), Deborah, Barry, and Mark (Jean) Lisa and Tamara, his granddaughters, who he raised as his own. Reuben and Phyllis shared the joy of 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his father Reuben in 1997 and mother Albertina in 1971. Reuben was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, WI., the only child of Reuben and Albertina Warner. Reuben moved to Canada in 1968 in search of his destiny and met his future wife Phyllis. For the last four years of his life Reuben worked as a lay pastor for Springs Church. Reuben fervently gave of himself, not only ministering at the church, but at home. His passion to serve God was evident in how he lived. Special thanks to Pastor Leon Fontaine and the pastoral staff at Springs for your love and support during this great loss. Thank you to Dr. Virginia Fraser, Dr. Wong (Cancercare, St. Boniface Hospital), and the nursing staff. Public viewing will be held Friday, December 13, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and thereafter, immediate family viewing. The funeral service will take place Saturday, December 14 at 11:00 a.m. Both services will be held at Springs Church, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd..
