Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELAINE MARIE BELL (nee WEST) Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, December 11, 2002, Elaine Marie Bell passed away at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Elaine will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 35 years, Russell; her only son Gary (Michelle) her mother Eva West; her sisters, Joyce Hak, Joan West, Carol (Glen) McLaughlin, Maxine (Murray) Armstrong, Donna (Howard) Dalrymple; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her father Rupert West. Elaine was born and raised on a farm near Mountainside, MB. While on the farm, she enjoyed milking cows, raking hay and driving horses. She married Russell Bell on November 18, 1967, and moved to Winnipeg where she ran a daycare business out of her home. She loved the Winnipeg Jets, the Manitoba Moose and baseball. She also enjoyed her weekly card games with Dad, Gary and Michelle. Elaine loved the outdoors and loved to collect plates, ornaments and salt and pepper shakers. Special thanks to Dr. Maksymiuk, the staff at St. Boniface General Hospital Palliative Care and all the oncology staff for your care and compassion through this difficult time. Viewing will take place on Saturday, December 14 in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St., Winnipeg, MB, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A celebration of Elaines life will take place on Saturday, December 14 at 1:00 p.m., also in Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Robert Johannson officiating.
