BRENT LUCAS GILLSON Brent Lucas Gillson, aged 21 years, died on Wednesday, December 11, 2002, in Winnipeg. Very treasured son of Lynn Gillson and Gary Hanson; beloved brother to Trevor (Lindsay) and Kelly; stepbrothers, Kyle and Chris; precious grandson of Mary Wiebe. Brent had countless friends but also leaves behind amazingly special friends, Marissa Kusano and Amy McLachlan. Brent was born April 24, 1981, in Winnipeg. He attended Darwin and Dakota, graduating from Vincent Massey Collegiate. Brent was employed by the Workers Compensation Board, creating yet again another circle of friends. Brent was very adventurous, strong willed and lived life to the fullest. He admitted he learned the hard way. He was a gifted athlete, a very creative artist and a valuable friend. He left his unique mark on many people. His many little cousins will surely miss his antics in the pool. We cannot go without expressing our utmost gratitude and appreciation for all who organized prayer groups, dedicated church services, lined the halls at the hospital, brought food and provided endless love and support. Special thanks to Rev. Mark Von Kampen, Brents aunts, uncles and extended circle of loving friends who never left his side. Brentie, we will carry you in our hearts forever and ever. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 16 at 11:00 a.m. at First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Ave. at Arlington. In lieu of flowers, we request that contributions be made in Brents name to the Winnipeg Humane Society on Kent Street. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
