WILLIAM (BILL) ORYSIUK Peacefully, after a lengthy illness Bill Orysiuk passed away, on December 13, 2002, at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 78 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 51 years Stella; children Carol (Richard) Synenko, with Cynthia and Andrea; Rick (Carol) Orysiuk, with Dallas and Evan; brother Peter Oruck and extended family and friends. Bill grew up in the North End. He joined the Air Force in 1943 and was overseas until 1946. Bill then married Stella and they moved to East Kildonan, where they raised their family and lived for 46 years. He worked for E.L. Haines Construction for 25 years, and then worked in the carpentry shop at St. Vital School Division until his retirement in 1987. Since his retirement Bill has enjoyed spending time with his family and continued on with his carpentry. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers donations in Bills memory may be made to a charity of choice.
