GLADYS K. NEUFELD It is with sorrowful hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, peacefully at home on Saturday, December 14, 2002. Gladys, lovingly known as Nanny, was predeceased by her husband Edmond; sisters, Helene and Irene; brother Edward; granddaughter Jenny; and loyal dog Freya. Left to remember her are her five children, Tom (Elaine), Don (Ellen), Barbara (Hank), Steve, and Keith; her grandchildren, Rhonda (Richard), Kit, Sheryl, Hank Jr., Tom, Darren, Jennifer, Raymond, Crystal-Dawn, Andrew, Amanda, Johnathon, and Cassandra; as well as six precious great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Gladys spent over 25 years working at Misericordia Hospital as an LPN until retiring in 1985. After spending a lifetime dedicated to her loved ones, her profession and her church, she proudly purchased her own home and spent her retirement years enjoying hobbies such as knitting, gardening and her beloved dog. Gladys loved her family wholeheartedly and was always there with a loving smile, a friendly ear and a big hug. The family would like to thank Pat Hillhouse for her loving companionship with Gladys over the past few months; it meant a great deal to her. Prayers will be held on Friday, December 20 at 7:45 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, with viewing prior, 1020 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 21 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Stafford and Corydon Avenue.
