Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID RAYMOND ARMITT It is with great sadness that the family of David Raymond Armitt, announces his passing on December 12, 2002 at the age of 74. Dad fought a courageous fight with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Dad was born and raised in McCreary, MB, July 26, 1928. Met and married Mom (Doreen Coulter) 1952, and resided there until they moved to Winnipeg in 1955, and here they raised four children. Dad loved hockey, his fiddle and guitar and his Old Time Country Music, fishing and family gatherings. He also got enjoyment out of his grandchildren and his two great-granddaughters. Dad was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Olive Armitt; his brothers-in-law, Charlie Prouty and John Pages and by his beloved daughter-in-law Debbie Armitt. Dad leaves to mourn his wife Doreen of 50 years; his children, Joanne (Gord) Arnaud, Dave, Pat (Eusebio) Carvalho, Gail (Tom) McCallum; his grandchildren, Coral (fiance Chris), Anthony Carvalho, Kylee (Brad), Justin, Destiny, Courtney, Michelle, DeAnna, Lacey and Danielle and Jerry; his great-granddaughters, Lexis and Mikhayla; his sisters, Mary Pages, Delma Prouty and Verna (Ed) Renville and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins and friends. In accordance to Dads wishes there is no funeral and cremation has taken place. A very big thank you to all the staff at Grace Hospital for the love and care they gave Dad while in the hospital. And thank you to the Aboriginal Funeral Home for their help with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to the Canadian Lung Association.
