WILLIAM (BILL) KIRKBY Suddenly after a brief illness Bill Kirkby passed away Saturday, December 14 at the age of 52. Bill is survived by his best friend and soul-mate Wendy Peterkin; his mother Muriel Kirkby; his brother Lorne (Debbie) Kirkby; his sisters, Marilyn Kirkby, Rita (Forbes) Cairns, Kathy (Fred) Kirkby and Tracey (Dean) Williams. Bill will be sadly missed also by many nieces and nephews and everyone who knew him. He was predeceased by his father George William Kirkby. Born in Shoal Lake, MB, Bill grew up in Winnipeg. Bill worked a number of jobs, and had spent the last 15 years at Motor Coach Industries. Bill enjoyed tinkering on a number of projects, and very rarely was without a power tool in hand. His special place was at the lake where he could relax, be himself, and enjoy the outdoors. There will be a celebration of Bills life on Thursday, December 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the Thomson Funeral Chapel, 669 Broadway with Rev. T. Hidichuk officiating. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Fifth Floor of the GA ward at Health Sciences Centre for the care and kindness given to Bill. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Bill, we know you are back at the lake again enjoy! THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
