CATHERINE DAWN WATERER (nee FLATT) With great sadness we announce Dawns passing on December 15, 2002. A lifetime Winnipeg resident, Dawn attended Kelvin High School and graduated from the Home Economics program at the University of Manitoba in 1950. She went on to a career in dietetics, eventually serving as chief dietician in Winnipegs Municipal Hospitals. Dawn loved her friends, travel, beaches, playing badminton and golf, walking and gardening and was an active member of the St. Agnes Guild. Her greatest pride and joy was her family, and she played a loving and significant role in her grandchildrens lives. Dawn was predeceased by her husband Bert; her parents, William and Grace Flatt and brother Gerry. Dawns passing will be mourned by her brother Ian and sister-in-law Joan; her son Doug and Kim Adams, her son John and daughter-in-law Kim Minish; her grandchildren, Julia and Ian and her nephews, Gordon, Bruce, Ian, Bruce and David. Dawn will be missed by many friends from her childhood in River Heights, her years in Fort Garry and most recently in Charleswood. A special thanks from Doug and John to Joan and Ian Flatt for all their support. The family also wishes to thank the staff of the Health Sciences Center and Tuxedo Villa for the care and attention they provided to Dawn. In accordance with Dawns wishes a private family service will be held. If friends so desire, donations in Dawns memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St. Winnipeg, MB.
