Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHUGH WILLIAM RICHARD McMILLAN 1928 - 2002 Hugh W. R. McMillan, beloved husband of Peggy McMillan (nee Leitch), of Calgary, passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Sunday, December 15, 2002, at the age of 74 years. Born in Winnipeg on February 13, 1928, son of Hugh and Gwendoline McMillan, Hugh was educated in Winnipeg, graduating in 1951 from the U of M in Architecture. Hugh practiced architecture in Calgary, designing several prominent buildings throughout Alberta. As a volunteer, he was involved with the U of C Faculty of Environmental Design, The Fraser Highlanders Regiment and The Calgary Stampede, to name a few. His passions were tracing his Scottish heritage, skiing, hiking and sailing with his family. Hugh was a Life Member of the Alberta Association of Architects and the Rotary Club of South Calgary. Hugh will be sorely missed by his loving wife Peggy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Hugh and Colleen and Geoff and Marilyn; his grandchildren, Lizzie, Lochy, Kiaran, Gaelan, Lauren and Tom; brother-in-law Peter Leitch and family of Calgary; and his sister Lyn and Warren Keates of Winnipeg.
