Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGUERITE GENEST (nee DUFAULT) It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Marguerite Genest on Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at the age of 80. She will be deeply missed by her five children, Patricia, Charles (Sylvia), Marcelle, Simonne (Denis), Richard, and Jean. Twelve grand-children, Melanie, Michael, Stephanie, Jennifer, and Kristen Genest; Jeannette, Jean, Marc, Michelle, and Daniel Meyer; Paul and Robert Richard. Marguerite was predeceased by her husband Eugene in 1988. The eldest child in a family of 14, she was predeceased by her parents, Charles Dufault in 1974 and Eva Lamontagne in 1973; her brothers, Paul in 1942, and Gerard in 1988; and sister Rhea Lacroix in 1999. She is survived by six sisters, Rina (Romeo), Blanchette, Therese (Romeo) Richard, Ida (Sister Marie Charles), Simone (Louis) Bernier, Marcelle (Antoine) Frechette, and Yvette (Robert) Tytgat; four brothers, Charles-Henri (Lucille Prince), Roland (Cecile Beaulieu), Rene and Paul. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 21 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Boniface Cathedral. Interment will follow at the St. Boniface Cemetery. Viewing will take place from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marguerites memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
