She was born Marjory Duncan in Fredericton, NB. Her family settled in Winnipeg where she met and married Jim Manson in 1930. She was a choir member at Chalmers United Church and later at McClure United Church. Mom was a Cub leader for years and also belonged to the Sons of Scotland. She was someone who always gave freely to others. Mom was predeceased by her husband Jim, her sisters, Dorothy and Bea; and her brother George. Mom was an amazing person. She had a no-nonsense way about her and an ability to get to the heart of a matter. She also had a heart of gold and endless love to give. Nanny, as so may knew her, has been so much a part of our lives for so long that she will be missed. She has gone on to take care of us from above. Thanks Mom, thanks Nanny, for all you have shared with us. Love, Duncan, Shirley, Jeremy, Belinda, Pierre, James, Austin and Joshua. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make donations in Moms memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
