Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryORTENZIO TORCIA August 24, 1928 - December 1, 2002 It is with great sadness we announce the death of Ortenzio Torcia, Sunday, December 1, 2002 after a lengthy battle with cancer, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Left to mourn his passing are his beloved son Anselmo (Brenda), and grandchildren, Justin, Thomas, Anselmo Jr., Abreanna; his daughter Maria and grandson Maximillion; and grandchildren Sophia and Fabian; sisters, Terrazina and Rosina; brothers, Peter and Vincenzino; many relatives and many, many friends. Ortenzio was predeceased by his wife Felicia in 1999. He immigrated here in 1957 with his wife from Miglierina, Italy and started a family. He was a tailor for many years and also owned Garry Billiards. After the passing of his wife, Ortenzio spent time in Hawaii and Winnipeg. Although he liked Hawaii he longed to be with family and friends in Winnipeg, where for over the past 40 years he had made his life. Ortenzio was a kind and gentle person loved much by family and friends. Ortenzio wanted all his family and friends who came to see him this past summer in the hospital to know how much he greatly appreciated the time spent with them. There was a small service held at the Holy Rosary Church, Tuesday December 10. Ortenzios body will be flown from Hawaii to Miglierina, Italy where he will get his longtime wish of being buried with his family. Ortenzio will be greatly missed by family, friends, grandchildren and especially by his son, Anselmo whom he had a special bond with. Goodbye Pop, Ill Miss You Much Love, Your Son Anselmo
