GORDON R. BRAD It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear father and grandfather, Gordon Brad, aged 76 years, on Thursday, December 19, 2002 at the Morris General Hospital. Gordon was predeceased by his wife Mary (Boaler) in 1998; father Leslie in 1982; mother Mildred in 1999; brothers, Douglas in 1955 and Wallace in 2002. Gordon is survived by two sons, Dale (Sharon), Calvin (Carol) and his grandchildren, Dustin, James, Allisa, Eric and Nicholas; aunt Annie Timlick; sisters-in-law, Edna Brad and Trudy Boaler; brothers-in-law, Al (Yvette) Boaler and Colin (Edith) Boaler; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Gordon was an active member of many organizations in the community including Manitoba Pool Elevators in Dominion City, treasurer and lifetime member of the Dominion City Curling Club and the Morris District Hospital Board. Gordon was a well respected farmer, who farmed in the Dominion City District for over 60 years, and his love of the land was evident even this last harvest when his health was failing. The family would like to thank Dr. Manness and the caring nurses at the Morris General Hospital for their compassion and wonderful care they gave our father. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Gordons memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or the Dominion City United Church Memorial Fund. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 23, 2:00 p.m. at the Dominion City United Church with Reverends Bob and Myrna Stark officiating. Ash interment will follow in the Dominion City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach. (204)326-1351.
