Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM ALBERT STALEY September 28, 1912 - December 17, 2002 Peacefully at St. Boniface General Hospital during the evening of December 17, 2002. Dad is survived by his son Douglas of Winnipeg; daughter Brenda McWhirter and grandson Mark McWhirter of Calgary; sister-in-law Irma Smith of London, ON; brother-in-law Donald Smith of Clarkson. He was predeceased by his loving wife Doris in 1997. Dad lived a very full and wonderful life, spanning almost all of the 20th century. With his excellent memory he often reminisced with family and friends about people and events which were important to him. He worked for many years in the business world with Canadian General Electric and in his later years truly enjoyed his retirement years. He travelled widely during his life, served his country in the Second World War and was always interested in current affairs and the world around him. For 55 years he was married to his beloved wife Doris with whom he spent the happiest years of his life. Family was always the most important thing in his life, and he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Dad had a wonderful sense of humour and was always positive and optimistic in outlook. He will be dearly missed but his memory will always be present in the hearts of those who loved him. The family would like to thank Dr. Ahmed Leylok of CancerCare Manitoba, Mark Shepherd and Chris Carlyle of the WRHA Palliative Care Program and Dr. Paul Daeninck and the nursing staff of 8A St. Boniface General Hospital for their compassionate and highly professional care of Dad during the course of his illness. No service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474
